Vinification
Vinification This wine is made from overmatured Areni grapes harvested in mid-November. Grapes are destemmed and crushed, after which the wine undergoes alcoholic fermentation in open oak barrels. At the mid-fermentation, it is fortified with Areni grape spirit, maintaining a high level of residual sugar and obtaining high alcohol content. Additional two weeks of maceration are performed after the fortification process. The wine is aged for 30 months in only one single Caucasian oak barrel
Color
Deep Purple
Flavor profile
This dessert wine is characterized by subtle, yet powerful tannins, vivid acidity which is harmoniously balanced with its pronounced sweetness. The high alcohol content creates an even longer and fuller aftertaste. An elegant fruit bouquet with aromas of ripe berries and plum jam blends with hints of spice, caramel and vanilla
Serving
Best enjoyed on its own as a digestif or paired with chocolate desserts
Aging
